LANGUAGE TEACHING FOR FOREIGNERS

Between 2016 and 2020, Aydın TÖMER instructors gave Turkish lessons to 4.470 Syrian individual within the scope of projects carried out with various institutions, especially the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities, Theirworld, UNCHR, Expertise France, EU QUDRA, International Blue Crescent Humanitarian Relief and Development Foundation (International Blue Crescent). While some of these lessons were given in Istanbul Aydın University, some of them were given in Mersin, Hatay, Gaziantep, Şanlıurfa, Kahramanmaraş and Osmaniye provinces.

In addition, within the scope of the “Turkish Education Project for Syrian Women”, Instructors gave Turkish lessons to 41 women at various levels at the Istanbul Aydın University Campus. Throughout the project, also they attended various social and cultural activities and so their language learning processes were supported taking into account the adaptation process of Syrian women to Turkey.
