A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT – Anadolu Eğitim ve Kültür Vakfı

Dear Friends,

The Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) was established with the aim of fostering individuals who are knowledgeable, technologically adept, inquisitive, critical thinkers, and innovators, while also continuously renewing themselves in every field. In pursuit of these goals, AKEV founded the Anatolian BIL Vocational School in 2003 and Istanbul Aydin University in 2007.

Since its establishment, Istanbul Aydin University has been consistently chosen as Turkey’s most preferred foundation university every year. With approximately 40,000 students, including 6,500 international students, and a staff of 2,500 academic and administrative personnel, it has undertaken the mission of becoming a global university, playing a significant role in education and scientific development in Turkey and the region.

Beginning its educational journey in 2003 for a bright future, Istanbul Aydin University now provides a wide range of education tailored to students’ interests and abilities through its 17 faculties and schools, 37 research centers, 3 institutes, 2 think tanks, and 2 UNESCO chairs.

In addition to its educational efforts, AKEV annually provides scholarships to students and engages in various activities such as fairs, conferences, panels, discussions, seminars, awareness campaigns, and diverse projects, continuing to provide these services.

We embrace the principle of participation, production, quality assurance, and enhancement at every level in all envisaged and jointly developed projects. AKEV, aiming to be one of the fundamental building blocks of our country, achieves the acquisition, development, and establishment of the knowledge, consciousness, entrepreneurial and creative spirit required by the 21st century through multifaceted collaborations.

I sincerely believe that, as we assume and share the responsibilities with the youth of contemporary Turkey envisioned by the great leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, our country will rise to the position of a leader in science, culture and the arts, advanced intellectual power, technology, and world politics. With this principle and a sense of responsibility, I wish that AKEV, in our journey of realizing various projects by demonstrating social awareness and training human resources that produce solutions to Turkey’s fundamental problems, continues to progress together towards a better and more beautiful future.
