Visit to Panorama 1453 Museum within the Scope of the Digitalization of Cultural Heritage Project

Within the scope of the Digitalization of Cultural Heritage project coordinated by the Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), our students who are receiving training visited the Panorama 1453 History Museum, one of Istanbul’s most significant historical sites.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to closely explore the museum, which presents the conquest of Istanbul through an immersive panoramic and three-dimensional experience. By observing how historical events are reconstructed using digital technologies, they gained a deeper understanding of the role of digitalization in preserving and transmitting cultural heritage to future generations.

Throughout the visit, students reinforced their theoretical knowledge through practical experience, gaining valuable insights into modeling, visualization, and digital storytelling techniques. Such hands-on activities make a significant contribution to the project’s main objective of documenting and transmitting cultural heritage through innovative methods.

This visit, focused on reinterpreting cultural heritage through digital tools, not only strengthened the students’ historical awareness but also contributed to their professional development.
