Sustainable Upcycling: Art and Design Workshop Successfully Held
The “Sustainable Upcycling: Art and Design Workshop Series,” organized in collaboration with Istanbul Aydın University, Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), İleri Adımlar Association, Yeşil Vatan Platform, and the IAU Sustainability Coordination Office, was successfully completed.
Within the scope of the workshop, participants were informed about the environmental impacts of recycling and upcycling, exchanged ideas on sustainable production approaches, and created original designs by reusing various waste materials. Through hands-on practices, participants both gained environmental awareness and had the opportunity to improve their artistic production skills.
The program began with an introductory meeting held at the Orange Hall of Istanbul Aydın University and continued in the following weeks with regular workshop sessions. Throughout the activities, students, academics, and volunteer participants worked together, contributing to the culture of sustainable living.
The products created at the end of the event transformed participants’ awareness of recycling into tangible outcomes, while also making a significant contribution to strengthening interdisciplinary collaboration and social responsibility awareness.
