TURNING WASTE INTO ART PROJECT

The “Turning Waste into Art Project” is an interdisciplinary workshop program implemented in collaboration with Istanbul Aydın University (IAU), Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), İleri Adımlar Association, Yeşil Vatan Platform, and the IAU Sustainability Coordination Office. The project aims to promote sustainability awareness while encouraging creative production through artistic practices.

Within the scope of the project, waste materials are reintroduced into artistic production processes, fostering an environmentally conscious perspective. Participants have the opportunity to create with diverse materials, enhance their artistic skills, and experience the concept of upcycling in a practical way.

The program is held regularly every Wednesday at the Istanbul Aydın University K Block Ground Floor. Each week features different themes and concepts, allowing participants to explore various art disciplines and engage in sustainable production practices.

Designed with the approach of “transformation through art,” the project seeks to strengthen environmental awareness while creating a sustainable learning environment based on creativity, collaboration, and shared experience.
