WİSDOM PROGRAM

The Wisdom Program is specifically designed for individuals 60 years of age and older. This age group tends to be seen as generally passive in society, but the program emphasizes that by changing this perception, older people can also make active contributions to society. Participants have the opportunity to acquire new skills, engage in social interactions, access life-long learning opportunities and pursue their personal development during this period of life. The program offers them the opportunity to acquire new hobbies, gain knowledge and experience in different areas and interact with younger generations. Improving the quality of life of participants, differentiating their routines, expanding their social networks and redefining their roles within society are among the main objectives of the program.

 While this age group is the focus of the program, participants are expected to be at least a high school graduate. The aim of the program is to enable older individuals to share their life experiences and knowledge with younger generations and to provide them with lifelong learning opportunities. In addition, individuals who are under 60 years of age and are thought to provide the program’s targeted benefits are also evaluated for participation. This increases the inclusiveness of the program, encouraging individuals from different age groups to come together and learn from each other. The diversity among the participants contributes to the richness and social impact of the program and strengthens the understanding and empathy of different age groups towards each other.

The Wisdom Program offers a diversified curriculum with the aim of enabling its participants to acquire a broad range of knowledge and skills. The courses of the program cover a wide range of subjects from practical skills to academic subjects. First aid courses provide information on basic health information and emergency response skills, while sport classes include activities focused on physical health and wellness. Students participating in the program, first aid, sports, textile products and handicraft studies, hair and skin care, basic computer use, financial literacy, English, history of culture, law, macro economics, environment and sustainability, entrepreneurship, sociology, mathematics, social drama, communication, logic At the same time, cultural trips are made and intergenerational interaction is established by integrating the mentoring approach into the program.
