III. HALİT AYDİN SCİENCE AND RESEARCH AWARDS ANNOUNCED
The “3rd Halit Aydin Science and Research Awards,” supported by the Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation and organized by Istanbul Aydin University’s Center for Social Research and Practice (TARMER), has found its winners.
The Center for Social Research and Practice at Istanbul Aydin University, known as TARMER, focuses on research in various contemporary subjects. For the third edition of the Halit Aydin Science and Research Awards, this year’s chosen research topic was “Migration and Poverty in Turkey.”
The competition was well-attended, and a three-stage process was established to evaluate the articles academically. The articles were initially evaluated based on criteria such as:
Relevance to academic language and the competition topic.
The topicality of the selected subjects.
Originality of the research.
Based on the evaluations, the rankings are as follows:

Dr. Fahimeh HOSSEINNEZHAD HENDVARI, “Reducing Refugee Poverty with a Focus on Development in the Context of International Migration Policy in Turkey.”
Dr. Çiğdem ULUDAG GULER, “Poverty Brought by Migration: The Case of Syrians in Istanbul.”
