ADVANCED STEPS WITH VISUALLY IMPAIRED INDIVIDUALS

A consortium was established in collaboration with Istanbul Aydın University, Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), Altı Nokta Körler Foundation, and the Mustafa Aydın Foundation to provide support in the fields of health and education for visually impaired individuals. The first initiative under this collaboration was conducted by the Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Dentistry (DentAydın), offering dental screenings and oral health education.

The oral health education covered topics such as proper brushing techniques, flossing, and healthy eating, with the goal of helping individuals maintain good oral hygiene. In addition to the training, comprehensive dental screenings were conducted by DentAydın dentists to assess the participants’ oral health status.
