ECONOMIC AND FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY WORKSHOP

The Sustainable Economy Conference held on May 26, 2022 with the theme “Economic Policies and Economic Models in the Axis of Development Plans in Turkey” was held with great success and high-level participation. The conference, which deals with the economy of our country from a different point of view on the axis of economic models, development plans and economic policies, was implemented with an approach that draws attention to the importance of sustainability in terms of Turkey’s macroeconomic and financial balances. Opinions and suggestions regarding the dynamics of Turkey in terms of sustainable finance and global competition were discussed within the framework of the conference and panel held at Istanbul Aydın University. In the panel held at the second session of the conference, where the communiqués in the field of ”Economic and Financial Sustainability” were presented and evaluated, the related issues were successfully realized with the participation of high-level representatives of institutions and organizations and academics. the conference was shared with the public with 3 separate live broadcasts on 2 separate TV Channels. Within the framework of the conference ”Contribution to Sustainable Economy Awards”, these Sustainable Economy Awards were given to three institutions that are important for their work in these fields and three academics who stand out for their work in this field.  The awards in question in the institution category are given to the Parliamentary Strategy Development Presidency, the General Directorate of Economic Programs and Research of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of the Ministry of Commerce, while in the academic category; Prof. Dr. Cumhur Ferman (Rector of Beykent University), Prof. Dr. Zekai ÖZDEMIR (Istanbul University Faculty of Economics) and Prof. Dr. Zeynep KARAÇOR (Selçuk University IIBF) was awarded the prize.
