The “In-Service Training Program for Employees”, which lasted for four days between March 29 and April 1, 2021 for the personnel of Küçükçekmece Municipality Social Aid Affairs Directorate, was carried out under the leadership of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University and Küçükçekmece Municipality.
“Conflict Management in Interpersonal Communication, Corporate Identity, Effective Communication and Negotiation Techniques, Effective Presentation Techniques” were discussed in the face-to-face training program at Florya Halit Aydın Campus.
Assoc. Prof. Hale Torun, Instructor Dr. Fatma Nazlı Köksal, Assoc.Prof. Mustafa Cebrail Sadakaoglu,. Instructor Dr. Begüm Aylin Önder from Istanbul Aydın Universityy Fakulty of Communication provided training.
At the end of the four-day in-service training program organized for the employee, Elif Aydın, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of AKEV, and Mehmet Reşat Başar, Vice Rector of Istanbul Aydın University, presented a certificate of participation to the participants.
“Preparing CV, Interview Techniques and Entrepreneurship Seminar” Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized in cooperation with Istanbul Aydın University and SecretCV, was carried out on 10 March 2010. In the seminar SecretCv General Director Okan Tütüncü was speaker, young people were informed about different interview techniques that can be carried out during the recruitment process. Tütüncü told young people about the tricks of preparing a resume, which is the first step of the recruitment process, and made detailed explanations about the resume preparation process with the right examples. Business world expectations from new graduates and information about ongoing studies and methodologies in human resources management were given. In addition, explanations were made about different attitudes and approaches to the invitation and participation processes for the interview.
The “Leadership and Local Governance” conference Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation organized in cooperation with Istanbul Aydın University, was carried out on 14 January 2010. The definition of local government leadership, how a strong local leader should be, leadership practice and leadership skills are mainly discussed in the confecence Prof. Dr. Richard Callahan participated as a speaker. Callahan explained that local governments shape our lives and stated “Serious attention should be paid to local governments. The most important condition for the strengthening of local governments will be achieved with a strong leadership understanding.”
Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation held a “Preventing Violence and Reducing Action” conference with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University in Florya Halit Aydın Campus and with the participation of Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Ata Özer. It was emphasized in the conference that violence starts in family in Turkey, and its solution is love. Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Ata Özer stated “Turkey has two basic problems in education. We felt bahind on Europe in preschool education and vocational education” |
It was held by Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University between 28-30 April to contribute to the cultural and social development of young people and to ensure that they meet with non-governmental organizations operating in areas of interest. non-governmental organizations participated in the fair organization with stands and presentation events. With the presentation of famous artist Mehmet Ali Alabora, he shared his experiences with young people at the conference entitled “Civil Society in Life” on 29 April 2009 Wednesday. “Problems Determined by Youth and Applied Solutions” panel was carried out in 30 April 2009. Bilgi University Youth Studies Unit Manager Yörük Kurtaran, General Manager of the Community Volunteers Foundation Yusuf Güven, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Association of Young Managers and Businessmen Saruhan Tan participated in the panel.
Founding president of the TRNC Rauf Denktaş, gave a speech on “Leadership: The Greatest Requirement of the Century” with the cooperation of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation and Istanbul Aydın University on 3 December 2009. Denktaş talked about leadership theories, both in a personal sense and in a national sense, and explained that conditions create leaders by examples of his own leadership stories. Denktaş stated “Leaders must have a vision. In order to develop a vision, it is necessary to see both the age and the future well. As in the Cyprus example, the behavior of the leading countries may not always be on the right side.”
Career Fair the Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation carried out with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University, brought pioneer companies of private sector and youth together in Istanbul Aydın University Florya Halit Aydın Campus in May 2009 and 2010. In this important event which young people have the opportunity to make career planning for the future, meet with professionals of the business world and make job and internship applications to companies, Participating companies had the opportunity to introduce themselves to young people and to reach the educated workforce they needed.
“Human Resources and Interview Techniques” Seminar the Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) carried out with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University and with Hürriyet Human Resources Solution Partnership, was carried out on 13 March 2009. In the seminar Hürriyet Human Resources Director Sancak Basa was a speaker, young people were informed about s interview techniques that can be carried out during the recruitment process. Sancak Basa also gave information about himself and mentioned about vision and mision of Hürriyet Journal and shared examples of human resources management of Hürriyet with youth.
“Interview Techniques” Seminar the Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) held with the cooperation of Istanbul Aydın University was carried out on 20 December 2008. In this seminar, young people were informed about different interview techniques that can be carried out during the recruitment process. Also, information was given about the expectations of the business world from new graduates and ongoing studies and methodologies in human resources management. And, the points to be taken into consideration during the interviews with the employers were emphasized.
The “Advanced Sales Techniques and Effective Communication in Sales Seminar” Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized with Istanbul Aydın University, was carried out on November 16, 2008. Informations about marketing and sales techniques were given to youth in the seminar. In the seminar that process of change in sales and marketing behaviors in today’s conditions was explained, it was stated that sales behaviors and marketing approaches focused solely on their own interests and characteristics have already taken their place in the dusty pages of history. Today, it was emphasized that only people and institutions that understand their customers, care about their psychological features, respect their purchasing behavior and features, unify new marketing approach and professional sales behaviors, and purpose excellent service approach, will sustain. Within the framework of participants awareness and development of this process, main titles such as changing parties in today’s sales and marketing behaviors, holistic models in marketing and sales understanding, developing a customer-oriented management approach, customer orientation and effective customer communication was discussed in the seminar. |
The “Effective Communication and Body Language Seminar” Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized with Istanbul Aydın University, was carried out on November 12, 2008. As an activity that was programmed to support personal development, participation and interest of young people in the seminar was great. Information about definition and justification of communication were given. Detailed explanations were also given on body language, effective communication and listening. |
The “Lead Manager and Transfer Policies” Panel Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized with Istanbul Aydın University, was carried out on 24 May, 2008 in Istanbul Aydın University Halit Aydın Florya Campus. Young people showed great interest in the panel. Fenerbahçe Sports Club Former Head Ali Şen, Galatasaray Club Former President Mehmet Cansun, National Teams Former Responsible Ayhan Bermek and Istanbul University Former Rector and Beşiktaş Congress Member Mesut Parlak were participated as panelists. Different approaches about football transfers on the agenda and leader manager concepts in general, especially in the football sector were raised in the panel.
Establishment works of Istanbul Aydın University were completed, and suggestions offered to the Presidency of Council of Higher Education (YÖK). This suggestion was approved by General Board of the Council of Higher Education, and following the necessary legal procedure, Istanbul Aydın University was established and acquired legal entity status with the law number 5656 Annex-73 published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 2007 and numbered 26526.
“Importance of Foundation Vocational Schools and Universities in Turkey Panel” Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized with Istanbul Aydın University and Anadolu Bil Vocational School, was carried out on July 15, 2007. There was high participation from education, business, press and academic groups in the conference opened by AKEV President Dr. Mustafa Aydın. It was discussed that universities are institutions that transform information and technology into social benefit, and universities will enlighten the society in the 21st century, not only with information and technology, but also the principles of law, common heritage, environment, culture, works of art, conservation and sustainable development in the panel. It was emphasized that both state and foundation universities are the main source of knowledge which is the greatest capital. It was stated that the higher education institutions, that are a must for social leadership, assume not only national consciousness, modernity, dimensional depth in thought but also the task of creating a bright future. It was mentioned that in addition to the existence of the necessary conditions for education in Turkey, no clear training strategy, thus, it is important to open foundation vocational schools. In our country which has very young population, number of students taking the university entrance exam is increasing every year, and thousands of students can not be successful in this exam. Not to be cut off from production, foundation universities and foundation vocational schools fulfill an important task.
Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) between 2009 – 2010 carried out traditional ceremonies due to the “Teachers’ Day” activities. Within this scope, various activities were carried out such as seminar and panel that problems of educatoar and the sector were shared. Book aid campaign Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized with Anadolu Bil Vocational School was carried out on September 24, 2006. This activity, which ensures delivery of educational and cultural publications to village schools that do not have the opportunity, contributes to opportunity equality in education.
Scientific Meetings Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) organized with Istanbul Aydın University, was carried out in different themes between June 05, 2007 and December 05, 2007. Prof. Dr. Candan Varlık and Prof. Dr. Mustafa Çıkrıkçı were moderators of these scientific meetings. With these meetings, young people were informed about the current developments in the scientific world and contributed to the development of the scientific thinking system. Within the scientific meeting activities, 20 meetings were organized until the end of 2010. “How ready are we for an earthquake?” panel was carried out with the coordination of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and Anadolu Bil Vocational School on December 12, 2005. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Mete Işıkara, Turkish Red Crescent Society Advisor Tekin Küçükali, Turkish Red Crescent Society Chairman and International Blue Crescent Foundation President Recep Ülker, Necmi Ercin from Istanbul Governorship Crisis Center, and Bahçelievler District Governor Turhan Ayvaz participated to the panel. AKEV President Dr. Mustafa Aydın made the opening speech in the panel. The participants remarked the importance of being ready for disaster management before a potential earthquake disaster. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Mete Işıkara reported that 70% of buildings in Istanbul are not ready for potential earthquake. Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation President Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Retired Full General Necdet Timur and ABMYO Manager M. Salih Çelikkale presented a plate of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation to the panelists.
Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and Anadolu Bil Vocational School carried out press conference that Anadolu BİL Vocational School contributed to the Turkish education system and the business world in the 2004-2005 academic year were shared to emphasize vocational education on July 26, 2005. Via this activity, it was aimed to contribute to raising public awareness in vocational education. “Methods of Dealing with Exam Stress” seminar was carried out with the cooperation of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), Anadolu Bil Vocational School and BİL Education Institutions on April 09, 2005. These seminars were carried out in main titles such as young people in high school and equivalent schools preparing for university entrance exams to deal with exam stress, duties of parents in gaining exam success. Via this activity, it was aimed to support the exam success of thousands of young people.
It was carried out on June 4, 2004, with the cooperation of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and Anadolu Bil Vocational School. Participants from vocational training and business submitted presentations and opinions on vocational qualification and employment-targeted vocational training. The importance of planning vocational education in line with the needs of the business world in Turkey and reducing the qualified workforce deficit was emphasized. One of the main issues discussed at the conference was necessity of strengthening the cooperation between education and business world. Many people from business, press, academic environment participated to the conference opened by AKEV President Dr. Mustafa Aydın.
Promotion nights for the start of education of Anadolu Bil Vocational School established by Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and the first foundation vocational school of Turkey approved by the Council of Higher Education Council, were carried out on May 6 – 25, 2004. Information was given about 11 education programs of Anadolu Bil Vocational School, job opportunities provided to young people after education, and solution partners. To create job opportunities after education, institutions that will be among the solution partners of Anadolu Bil Vocational School and young people and education shareholders were provided to come together in these promotion night events. In addition to the leading representatives of the education community, Mayors and District Governors, representatives of leading and well-established organizations in their field and solution partners in the field of media such as Ulusoy, The Green Park, Dedeman Otels, Amerikan Hastanesi, RODER, BİL HOLDİNG, Türk Kalp Vakfı, TÖDER, SSV, UFRAD, Acıbadem Hastanesi, BOĞAZİÇİ Sağlık, Sigarayla Savaşanlar Derneği, Tercüman Gazetesi, MMC TV, İstanbul TV, ARAS Kargo were participated in these promotion events. |

Anadolu Bil Vocational School President Dr. Mustafa Aydın made the opening speech and Anadolu Bil Vocational School President Advisor Prof. Dr. C. Ruhi Kaykayoğlu maintained the panel. Istanbul Director of National Education Ömer Balıbey, Turkish Employment Agency General Manager Necdet Kaner, Leonarda da Vinci General Coordinator İbrahim Demirer, Haliç University Faculty Member and the Author of the book Future Jobs Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Özsoy, MICROSOFT Academic Advisor Nuri Çankaya, Prometheus Management Consultation General Director Yücel Atış participated to the panel. Many young people participated to the panel activity. “How Young People Should Educate Themselves?” interview was made by Şişli Municipality Mayor Mustafa Sarıgül. The program ended with the Career Workshop event organized by Anadolu Bil Vocational School Public Career Center. Students had the opportunity of a free career test in this event.
Many conferences were carried out to contribute university preparatory group in secondary education institutions, career and profession choices of young people in high school and equivalent schools from June 2003. Cooperations were made with BİL Education Institutions in these activities. With the Profession Choices conferences, it was aimed to contribute to preparation of young people for a career in which they can be successful and to make conscious career choices. Thousands of young people participated to these activities that AKEV has carried out since June 2003. With the cooperation of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation and Bil Private Teaching Institutions, free university entrance exam trial test were made to high school and equivalent students on 03 – 31 May 2003. Via these free trial exams, it was aimed to contribute to the success of the students in to higher education entrance exams. Thousands of students was provided to participate this activity. Via the exam activity with participation over the internet, students from all cities could participate.
“Motivation and final preparations before the exam” seminar series for students preparing for the university entrance exams were carried out in Ankara, Kayseri, Konya and Kemer with the cooperation of Bil Private Teaching Institution.
Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) brought the first foundation vocational school of Turkey to the higher education of our country. Anadolu Bil Vocational School obtained permission on starting education with 12 associate degree programs, and was based in Bahçelievler Campus. It was carried out with the ceremonies held every year for the “Teachers’ Day” activities with the cooperation of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and Bil Private Teaching Institutions between 2000 and 2005. Within these activities, various activities were carried out such as seminars and panels that mention occupational problems of our teachers who are the architects of our education, and aim to contribute the development of the education sector. In these activities, it was emphasized that the education issue should be the top priority policy of the states and governments, education is the only way for a society to develop and modernize, the present prosperity and happiness of nations, their economic and civilizational levels can be measured by the importance given to education. |

It was stated that sales behaviors and marketing approaches focused solely on self-interest have already taken their place in the dusty pages of history. It was emphasized that today the persons and institutions which understand customers, care about their psychological characteristics, respect their purchasing behaviors and characteristics, integrate new marketing approach with professional sales behavior, and aim at excellent service will continue their existence.
Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and BİL Private Teaching Institutions organized many aid campaigns for elementary schools in Anatolia between 2000 – 2005. Thousands of educational publications were distributed in this social responsibility project by delivering educational publications to underprivileged schools and students. Participation and contribution of young volunteers were high to the project carried out under the coordination of Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV). Packages of books, publications, lectures and test boks were sent to village schools in Anatolis.
“Effective Communication, Presentation Techniques and Body Language” seminar program organized by Anatolia Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), was carried out on 6 November 2000 in the Foundation Center. The level of participation of young people in the seminar, which was programmed as an activity supporting the personal development of young people, was intense. In the seminar program, information was given about the definition and techniques of communication. Detailed explanations were made for the development of skills in body language, effective communication and listening.
