Bilgelik Program Alumni Reunion Successfully Held
The Bilgelik Program Alumni Reunion, organized through the collaboration of Istanbul Aydın University and the Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), was successfully held on January 29, 2026, at the Mor Hall of Istanbul Aydın University under the theme “Literature, Philosophy, and Wisdom.”
Bringing together Bilgelik Program alumni and academics, the event addressed the relationship between literature and philosophy and their connections to individual and social wisdom from a multidimensional perspective. Within the scope of the program, distinguished scholars from different disciplines offered participants a rich intellectual framework.
During the event,
Dr. Mehmet Çağrı Uluğer, in his presentation titled “Literature as a Philosophical Question,” examined the role of literature as a tool for intellectual inquiry.
Dr. Burcu Güdücü, Assistant Professor, shared approaches to understanding social structures through texts in her talk titled “Reading the Text, Reading Society.”
Dr. Muhammed Metin Çameli, Assistant Professor, focused on the impact of theatre and literature on individual awareness in his presentation titled “Seeing Ourselves in the Mirror of Literature: Theatre and Wisdom.”
Enriched by a question-and-answer session and interactive discussions, the reunion contributed significantly to strengthening alumni ties with the university and fostering the sharing of knowledge and experience.
