Academic Enrichment Program for Children with Special Needs
The Academic Enrichment Program for Children with Special Needs, organized through the collaboration of Istanbul Aydın University and the Anatolian Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), will take place between June 29 and July 27, 2026.
Designed for children aged 9–12 with Down syndrome, the program aims to support their social, physical, and creative development through engaging, hands-on learning experiences in a university environment.
Throughout the program, participants will attend activities three days a week, including:
- Movement Education
- Gastronomy Workshops
- Art Activities
These interactive sessions are designed to help children build confidence, develop new skills, strengthen social relationships, and enjoy meaningful learning experiences alongside their peers.
Recognizing the importance of family involvement, the program will also offer parallel educational sessions for parents, providing guidance, support, and opportunities to share experiences with professionals and other families.
By bringing together academic expertise and community engagement, this initiative seeks to create an inclusive environment where children can explore their potential, gain independence, and experience the enriching atmosphere of university life.
Participation is free of charge.
