VIII National Congress on Child Research

The VIII National Congress on Child Research was successfully held between May 7–9, 2026, at the T Block Social Sciences Campus of Istanbul Aydın University Florya Campus, in collaboration with the Faculty of Education of Istanbul Aydın University, the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education, and the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV).

Organized with the aim of encouraging children’s active participation in scientific research processes, supporting the development of a research culture from an early age, and promoting interdisciplinary academic production, the congress brought together students, teachers, academics, and researchers from different cities across Türkiye.

Throughout the three-day congress, oral and poster presentation sessions were held with significant participation. Research studies from a wide range of fields—including educational sciences, artificial intelligence, sustainability, environmental studies, cultural heritage, children’s literature, digital media, psychology, mathematics, art, and technology—were presented to participants.

During the sessions, hundreds of studies supporting children’s scientific thinking, problem-solving, creativity, critical thinking, and academic presentation skills were showcased. Contemporary topics such as AI-supported educational applications, environmental and climate awareness, digital culture, peer bullying, sustainable energy, gamified learning models, and cultural studies were among the prominent themes of the congress.

Beginning with the opening ceremony and protocol speeches, the congress served as an important scientific platform that not only enabled academic exchange but also highlighted children’s research and production processes. Throughout the congress, students had the opportunity to present their projects, interact with academics, and gain valuable scientific experience.

The VIII National Congress on Child Research concluded as a significant academic gathering contributing to the promotion of child-centered scientific studies and supporting the development of future researchers.
