Workshop on Parenting in the Digital Age at Istanbul Aydın University
Today, digitalization is not only transforming technology but also deeply reshaping family life and parenting practices. With the aim of better understanding this transformation and reflecting on it together, Istanbul Aydın University and the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) are organizing the “Workshop on Parenting in the Digital Age.”
The workshop will take place on April 15, 2026, at the Florya Halit Aydın Campus of Istanbul Aydın University. It will bring together different perspectives to discuss the current challenges parents face in the digital world.
Throughout the workshop, a wide range of important topics will be addressed, including children’s rights and parents’ legal responsibilities, digital addiction in families, digital consumption habits, and the sharing of children on digital platforms (sharenting). In addition, digital parenting awareness and the role of schools in the digital age will also be explored.
This workshop aims not only to discuss existing challenges but also to collaboratively develop practical solutions through the contributions of academics and participants.
