Panel on “Translation and the Role of the Translator in Digital Communication” and the Translation Association Award Ceremony to Be Held

The panel titled “Translation and the Role of the Translator in Digital Communication” and the Translation Association Award Ceremony, organized in collaboration with Istanbul Aydın University, the Translation Association, and the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), will be held on March 13, 2026, at the Orange Hall, D Block, Florya Campus of Istanbul Aydın University.

The panel aims to address the changing role of translation and translators in the digitalized world. During the event, distinguished academics and professionals will come together to discuss the importance of translation in the age of digital communication, the transformation of the translation profession, and the impact of new technologies on the field of translation.

The panel will be moderated by Dr. Tuğba Gülal, with invited speakers including Prof. Dr. Erkan Saka, Translator Turgut Ağar, and Lecturer Deniz Postacı.

The program will begin with opening remarks at 14:00, followed by the panel session. After a coffee break, the event will continue with the Translation Association Award Ceremony.

Organized by the Department of Radio, Television and Cinema (English) and the Department of English Translation and Interpreting at Istanbul Aydın University, the event will bring together distinguished contributors to the field of translation and provide an opportunity to evaluate current developments in the profession.
