Reading from the Heart Project

As part of the Gönülden Okuyalım (Reading from the Heart) Project, we visited Karakoyunlu Şehit Polis Nevzat Alagöz Middle School in Iğdır, bringing together the school’s students with pre-service teachers from Istanbul Aydın University’s Turkish Language Teaching Department. Aimed at strengthening reading culture, the event included guided reading, discussion activities, and short creative writing exercises that helped students improve comprehension, expression, and vocabulary skills. The pre-service teachers also gained valuable experience in classroom practice, communication, and mentoring. We extend our sincere thanks to Vice Principal Aytaç Dalga, Research Assistant Yiğit Omay, and the students of the Turkish Language Teaching Department for their support in making this meaningful activity possible.
