DECEMBER 3 WORLD DISABLED DAY-2021

Eleven students with Down syndrome, autism and mild mental disabilities became chefs for a day and entered the kitchen. The children who kneaded dough in the kitchen made both pizza and cookies. The Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) and Istanbul Aydın University organized an event for disadvantaged children as part of December 3rd World Disability Day. As part of the event, advisor gastronomy students and 11 disadvantaged children entered the kitchens of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department of the IAU Faculty of Fine Arts and made pizza and cookies under the supervision of Instructor Sefa Sabırlı. The children who kneaded their dough and prepared their pizza and cookies had fun at the musical recital performed by Dr. Oya Aylin Büyükbayram, a faculty member of the Music Teaching Department of the Education Faculty, while waiting for the food to cool.
