BORDERS EDUCATION PROJECT: IMPLEMENTATION WITH EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS
The Borders Education Project, prepared in collaboration with the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation and Istanbul Aydın University, aims to provide primary school children with various skills. These skills include recognizing emotions, developing self-esteem, learning personal rights, recognizing private parts, saying no, distinguishing between good and bad touches, self-protection and awareness of asking for help. The program includes activities aimed at developing children’s ability to cooperate with each other, act safely and solve problems.
A training program was provided to the classroom and guidance teachers working at Ömer Gültekin Yavuz Selim Primary School, and the educators of this project. The educators were supported by a booklet prepared by the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation and Istanbul Aydın University. These activities were implemented with the students for 4 months and each module was presented to the teacher evaluation. An academic study is being prepared in line with the findings obtained.
