An Inclusive Educational Experience through the \u201cOne Day a Week at University\u201d Program<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cOne Day a Week at University\u201d Program<\/strong>, implemented by the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV), offers an inclusive educational model that enables individuals aged 17 and above with Down syndrome and mild intellectual disabilities to actively participate in the university environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Within the scope of the program, participants attend classes alongside university students, gaining both academic and social development opportunities. In this process, university students develop awareness and empathy through direct interaction with individuals with disabilities, while participants enhance their socialization, self-confidence, and communication skills by becoming more actively involved in social life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the program, Bora regularly attends sports classes conducted by Dr. Elif Ak\u00e7a<\/strong> from Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University. Through these classes, Bora supports his physical development while also experiencing an active learning environment together with his peers in a university setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
