Hosted by Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University<\/strong>, the \u201cLoss and Grief Seminar\u201d<\/strong> was held in collaboration with the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation<\/strong> and the K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck\u00e7ekmece District Directorate of National Education<\/strong>, with the participation of teachers working in schools affiliated with the K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck\u00e7ekmece District Directorate of National Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar took place on 24 December 2025 (Wednesday)<\/strong> at the T Block Turquoise Hall<\/strong> of Istanbul Ayd\u0131n University. The event focused on the psychological dimensions of loss and grief, emotional responses experienced during grieving processes, and the supportive roles teachers can assume within educational settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The seminar featured Assoc. Prof. Hadiye K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fckkarag\u00f6z<\/strong> and Lecturer Dilek \u00d6zy\u00fcrek<\/strong> as speakers. Through theoretical insights and practice-oriented examples, the speakers aimed to enhance teachers\u2019 awareness and competencies in supporting children and individuals experiencing loss and grief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With active participation from attendees, the seminar was enriched by a question-and-answer session and experience sharing. The program contributed to strengthening school-based psychosocial support practices and represented an important step toward promoting sensitive and inclusive approaches within educational environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
